This piece recontextualizes the familiar language of luxury through contrast, transformation, and authorship. Constructed from a repurposed imitation Speedy bag, the work deliberately juxtaposes mass-recognized status symbolism against the intimacy and individuality of handwork. Emerging from the coated canvas exterior is the silhouette of a classic sneaker rendered entirely in blank needlepoint canvas — intentionally left unfinished and open to interpretation by its future owner.

Rather than presenting luxury as something predetermined or logo-driven, the piece proposes a different hierarchy of value: time, craftsmanship, personalization, and the rarity of creating something entirely one of one. The stark white canvas becomes both invitation and absence — a space awaiting color, narrative, and the hand of the collector.
